Okay- so after being informed by the VP of Marketing for Oracal that new colors should be released around April, I figured: hey, why go to all the trouble to organize a group buy if all I have to do is be a little patient? So that's what I'm doing. (Owning a business, raising 2 kids and keeping a house are already taking a bit of time - I'm sure most of you can relate.) So, the plan is to wait and see what Oracal turns out. If they leave something to be desired (either by not bringing out new colors at all, being super delayed in doing it, or having them be too limited), then I might go ahead and organize the group buys in the future.
On February 25 I emailed said VP asking for an update. His response:
"I don't have any specific updates to offer you at this point, but the project is still active. I'll keep you posted."
I'm not sure if he'll really keep me posted- unless I keep badgering him, poor man, but I plan to attend the ISA Show in April and if I see the new colors there, or find another company who has them, I'll be sure to let you all know.
