I sent a quick email to the Vice President of Marketing at Oracal:
"Any chances of more colors coming in the next month?"
His response:
"Not likely, as the ramp-up time is usually 6-8 weeks due to the need to purchase new pigments and produce the master rolls. A more likely time frame is before the ISA show in April.
At least the topic is now in active discussion. If the timetable moves up I'll let you know."

I was fowarded the following email from somebody who's been passing along the word:
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info. I spoke with Oracal when they came and toured my place last year and they assured me they were coming out with 18 new colors this year. I am waiting on a response as to when to expect them. I can't wait! Customers are always requesting other colors.

So I checked out her website, and the colors they are offering aren't all Matte- so I guess that means that Oracal could be coming out with 18 new colors of any series of their vinyl. I don't know. I hope it's the 631! (but I doubt it.)
I am in the process of replacing all of my glossy vinyl with the matte line. I would also like to add my interest of getting a matte red-brown (a color Oracal offers in the 751 glossy series). It is the best muted red I have found so far. Plus, if it is a color they already offer, we might have a better chance of getting it from them. Just a thought.
